Bleiburg is a small town (4000 inhabitants) located in the heart of Southern Carinthia. The city of Bleiburg owes its name to the former mining industry. The home mountain is the Petzen. Bleiburg is seen from a sporting and cultural point of view, the center of Southern Carinthia. Also many important personalities come from Bleiburg, like for example:

Coming from Germany and Salzburg

Via the A 8 – from Munich via the German-Austrian border to Salzburg. Stay on the motorway and continue on the A 10 towards Villach. After Villach continue towards Klagenfurt – A2 exit Griffen – L 127 (Lippitzbacher Landesstraße). From there follow the signs to Bleiburg.

Coming from Vienna and Graz

Via the A 2 – from Vienna continue on the A 2 towards Graz – continue towards Klagenfurt – A 2 Exit Griffen – L 127 (Lippitzbacher Landesstraße). From there follow the signs to Bleiburg.
